What does the image converter do?
This tool converts images in the browser into common web-friendly output formats. The current page explicitly exposes three targets:
PNGJPGWebP
You can drag, select, or paste images. The page converts each file, offers per-file download, ZIP export, a total savings summary, and result previews.
The current implementation is browser-local processing. Files are not uploaded to your server or a third-party image service, which makes it practical for screenshots, internal assets, and quick web publishing workflows.
Important boundaries:
- the quality slider only affects
JPGandWebP - converted files are not guaranteed to be smaller
- duplicate handling is filename-based, not content-hash-based
Good fits
- moving web assets into a consistent output format
- preserving transparent graphics as PNG
- converting photo-like material to JPG or WebP
- batch packaging images before publishing
